To fit a CD clock Power Supply is generally a simple process which should take less than an hour in most cases.
Within your CD player there should already be a clock upgrade module fitted (ideally a NET Audio MiniClock Master).
To fit the NET Audio Clock PSU unplug your CD player from the mains. Remove the cover and locate the clock oscillator.
Locate the main power supply entering the CD Player and trace the wiring to the mains switch. Solder one side of the twisted pair to the live and one side to the neutral after the power switch so that it can be taken to the NET Audio Clock PSU module screw terminals.
The output of the NET Audio Clock PSU Module should be fed to the input clock module power pins.
Before you connect the NET Audio Clock PSU, firmly mount the module within the CD Player, keeping the wires leading from the mains and from output pins as short as possible whilst also making sure to keep the mains leads as far away from the CD Players sensitive circuitry as possible. Once the module has been mounted securely and the mains leads connected cut the red and black twisted pair to the shortest and neatest length again so as to keep it away from the CD Players sensitive circuitry as possible. Strip the red and black lead ends, tin and then solder them onto the appropriate pins on the clock module.
Once you have made sure that there are no short circuits and that all connections are correct and secure plug the CD player into the mains and switch on. If everything is functioning disconnect the CD player from the mains, replace the casework and connect back into your Hi-Fi.
There is a further option on the NET Audio Clock PSU, an earth pin which connects to the top left hand mounting hole on the PSU module. This can be connected to the mains earth, although it does nothing to the PSU itself, it may be used to ground the casing of the CD Player if a 3 core mains lead has been fitted by you or is standard equipment. This may or may not improve the performance of the CD Player by grounding the metal casework.
