Linn Mimik 2 CD Player Upgrade The Linn Mimik is a favorite of audiophile in the mid price sector due to its high sound quality, excellent built quality for the price and compact dimensions. Reviews like the one on TNT audio here also confirm the deserved reputation it has for the relaxed but musical experience it provides. But what if you hanker for more performance? The Linn upgrade path is very steep and very high prices are reached very quickly - the performance also increases but not in the same proportion to the elevated price. There is a solution however. For a small fee compared to the cost of trading in the player NET Audio have developed an upgrade pack for the Mimik 2 to provide exemplary sound quality way ahead of what a £1000 trade in would offer. The upgrade consists of tuning the CD players analogue circuitry and then fitting one of the NET Audio RockClock and VDC Power supplies to the Mimik which produces a very impressive lift in the replay performance. The upgrade takes a few days to complete and can be returned to you almost immediately once the Mimik has been inspected and had its final bench test. The Mimik 2 Upgrade is no longer available.
